Meet Dr. Currier

Why is Dr. Megan Currier the right choice to be your family dentist?

Dr. Megan Harvin Currier is a local from Tangipahoa Parish. Her journey in the field of dentistry began as a dental assistant when she was just 17 years old. Dr. Currier attend Southeastern Louisiana University where she received her Bachelor's degree in Organismal and Integrated Biology. From there, she attended Louisiana State University School of Dentistry where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Go Lions & Tigers!

Dr. Currier is married to Ross Currier, a high school football coach at Jewel M. Sumner High School. They adore spending time with their sons Vincent & Gabe and their lovable Labrador, Lucy. When Dr. Currier is not practicing dentistry, she loves traveling, cooking, , watching football, and being outdoors. Her favorite food is coffee! Dr. Currier is a CASA volunteer with the LA Foster Care System and a member of the Hammond Chamber of Commerce. She loves her Hammond Community! She also loves helping her patients feel comfortable while achieving their best smile! Her goal is for every patient to "Smile with Confidence". Beware, as she enjoys singing while she works!

Tabita Hooper, DDS

Dr. Tabita (Tabi) Hooper is originally from Braila, Romania. She came to Hammond, Louisiana in 2010 as an International Student. Dr. Hooper received her Bachelor's degree in Integrative Biology with French and Chemistry Minors from Southeastern Louisiana University. She worked as an orthodontist assistant for two years before pursuing her Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree from Louisiana State University.

Dr. Hooper's love for dentistry started when she was just 10 years old as she was translating and assisting for ServingHim missionary teams in her hometown. Being exposed to excellent dentistry and amazing patient care from the American teams, she learned that there was a better way of treating patients than she knew so far. By the age of 10 she had already experienced poor dental outcomes for herself, her immediate family, and even the premature loss of her aunt due to dental neglect. A new dream was born: she wanted to become not just a dentist, but the best dentist she could be in order to help make a difference. This dream led her to Hammond years later, despite people doubting her, and despite her family's poor socioeconomic status. Faith and hard work together helped her fulfill her dream. She now gets to change lives, one smile at a time.

Dr. Hooper is married to her best friend and love of her life, Kale Hooper, a chemical engineer from Michigan. Hammond became their new home where they are raising their family, Christian and Claire. Dr. Hooper loves spending time with her family, their Golden Retriever (Teddy), and enjoying nature. She also loves to travel, getting to see new places and being exposed to new cultures.

Dr. Hooper is dedicated to continual improvement. She is part of several study groups and her membership includes: Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Louisiana Dental Association, Invisalign Provider.

Danae Lacoste

Danae has over 25 years of office experience and is our DDS coordinator. She makes sure everything is in order for both the dentist and the patient, managing the doctor's schedule to coordinating with dental specialists, dental labs to helping patients understand their treatment plan, insurance and upcoming visits. She loves helping our patients and her friendly smile will be the first thing to greet you when you walk through our doors. She loves getting to know and building long-lasting relationships with our patients. Danae is married and mother to four grown children, a grandmother, and loves anything that keeps her moving.

Jennifer Davis, RDH

Jennifer has been a dental hygienist in the practice since 2002. She enjoys developing relationships with her patients and strives to put them at ease as she helps them achieve optimal dental health. Jennifer is a proud graduate of Ponchatoula High School and LSU School of Dentistry. She resides in Ponchatoula with her husband Ben, daughter Shelby, and son Grant. They have 4 pets: Brass, Ace and Opal and Peep the cat. Jennifer enjoys creating art out of broken glass as well as repurposing old furniture with her husband. She also loves shopping and vacationing!

Fun fact: Jennifer and Amanda both attended PHS and sat right next to each other in hygiene school at LSU. They enjoy getting to work side by side now!

Amanda Richard, RDH

Amanda Richard, one our skilled dental hygienist, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from LSUHSC in 2002. With over 20 years in the dental field she is committed to making each patients dental visit a positive and educational experience. Her goal at your visit is to make you feel relaxed and comfortable while also learning optimal oral healthcare. In her free time she enjoys spending quality time with her husband Chad and two college aged girls Jadyn and Marley, she loves vacationing in the mountains or somewhere on a beach..

Ashlyn Gill, RDH

Ashlyn has been practicing dental hygiene for almost 4 years now, graduating in 2021 from Mississippi Delta Community College. As her patient you can expect a thorough and personable appointment with every decision made, being perfectly tailored for you and your oral health needs. Ashlyn lives in Watson, La with her husband Jonathon, and 2 pets: Goose the basset hound and Leo the orange tabby. In her free time she loves spending time with her husband and friends, and building Lego sets.

Erin Prevost

Erin Prevost is our Office Manager . She has been in dentistry since 2009. Erin is skilled in providing knowledge of dental insurance coverages, coding, and treatment planning of dental visits. She lives in Ponchatoula with her husband, Travis. They have two energetic boys, Jordan and Jase. In Erin's free time she likes to cook family meals, travel to the mountains, dirt race with her husband, watch her boys play football, and serve at her church.

Brooke Verdin

Brooke has been in the dental field since 2015. She is the Hygiene Coordinator and manages and coordinates the hygiene schedule efficiently and ensures that the patients get outstanding treatment and understand their insurance benefits. Brooke is quick to make patients feel at ease by building confidence, trust and friendships with each patient. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Nathan. They have a beautiful daughter, ,Audrey who is smart and very outgoing. Brooke loves to read, try new recipes and to frequent our local coffee shops.

Kelsey Lewis

Kelsey Lewis is EDDA certified and is our Lead Dental Assistant and has been in the dental field since 2012. Dental assistants contribute significantly to our dental practice by providing crucial patient care and support for the dentist. Behind her beautiful smile is a woman who is passionate about getting to know all our patients and making sure they receive quality service and attention for all their dental needs. Kelsey is married to her high school sweetheart, Brock. They have a sweet, energetic son named Greyson that always keeps them entertained and laughing. She loves cooking, quality family time, and wearing fun earrings.

Paige Good

Paige is EDDA certified and is one of our excellent Dental Assistants. She has been in the dental field since 2016. Behind every great dentist, there is a great dental assistant! From the moment you step into our office until you leave, Paige ensures you have a pleasant visit. Paige's dedication and care go beyond the chair. Paige and Bradley have a beautiful daughter, Juliet, that is energetic, spunky and full of life. Paige loves to spend time with her family, fishing and crabbing and buying all things pink!

Vincent Giannobile

At Currier Dental Studio, we provide extra protection for our patients. Vince Giannobile has been our security officer since 1999. He is a retired Hammond Police Officer with a 40 year career. Vincent is married to his lifelong love, Carolyn. Together they have two children and six grandchildren who keep them very busy! His hobbies include sports cars and riding motorcycles.
